| Revealed Religions | Name given to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (see Middle-Eastern Trilogy), because they are founded on the notion that God spoke directly to the original prophets several thousand years ago (He "revealed" Himself). Now that the original prophets are gone, adherents to each religion must try to interpret their respective Holy Scriptures as best they can, resulting in many individual sects. God has been entirely unhelpful in clearing up any misunderstandings, though He was apparently most insistent on getting things right way back when. |

| Right to life | - Phrase not found in the Jewish nor Christian bible. Sentence: In the story of the Jewish exodus from Egypt, Egyptian first born babies were not granted any "right to life". The bible contains phrases such as "their little ones dashed to death against the ground, their pregnant women ripped open by swords" Hosea 13:16 in which the "right to life" of the baby is very difficult to discern. The bible story reports early on military generals attempt to spare lives and how this was refuted by the Judaeochristian god. Number 31:1-18 Note there was no prevision to spare pregnant women to give their unborn babies a "right to life". The story of the flood of Noah granted no baby the "right to life" when the flood waters came. Deut 21:20 recognizes the right of parents to have their child killed. Judges 11:29-38 indicates you can trade your childs life with god for military or political gain. Confusion occurs with christians that do not know the ten commandments well. These state do not murder...meaning another adult law abiding Jew. Law breakers, children, slaves and foreigners were fair game. This is often translated thou shalt not kill, however in the context with the rest of the bible, it becomes more clear. Jews who knew the other laws would understand these laws in their Jewish context.
- Phrase coined after the writing of the bible to use in political campaigns to gain votes from those that do NOT know their bible (Please find any online bible and search for the phrase "right to life") The Christian Book of revelations seems to indicate that to Christians attempting to add things to their bible is a bad idea. Rev 22:17-19 It seems that it would be a safer idea for Christians in view of that scripture to admit the phrase "right to life" is not part of their bible, and in view of the scriptures...seems contrary to its teaching.
